Product Description
If you need a good night’s rest, Laurel Crown can help. We are pleased to present a four-poster canopy queen bed that redefines what it means to sleep in luxury. Every antique canopy bed we build is carved, sanded, and finished by hand to preserve the authentic quality of the Chippendale furnishings from which the design was heavily inspired. Using the highest quality Honduran mahogany, our master craftsmen shape classic cabriole legs with ball-and-claw feet, a solid headboard with a bonnet-top pediment that is decorated with hand-carved acanthus and anthemion leaves.
We handcraft each vintage canopy bed with Honduran mahogany, because it was favored by Thomas Chippendale, the furniture maker after which these furnishings were named. This exquisite species of wood features a medium texture and straight grain that seems to glow beneath our satin semi-gloss finish. All four posters are spiral-turned with bead and plant carvings, as well as flame finials for dramatic effect. Each time you walk into your bedroom, you will feel as though you have traveled back in time.
Turn your vision into a reality by customizing our Chippendale canopy bed:
- Change the finish to a custom cherry, rosewood, walnut, pine, or oak stain
- Add an antiqued, distressed, or white-washed finish to achieve a more vintage look
- Tailor the dimensions of this bed to suit the specific length or width of your bedroom
Each four-poster canopy queen bed we offer is made with the utmost care and attention down to the minutest detail. If you would like to customize this antique canopy bed, simply submit your project proposal online or contact our custom design department today to get the process started. Building your vintage canopy bed can take anywhere from one to 16 weeks but varies based on the complexity of the project.
