Our specialty reproduction method involves careful consideration of premium woods that were used to construct the original style of Chippendale furniture. We favor Honduran mahogany, as did the furniture makers that preceded us. Mahogany features a unique grain pattern and medium texture. While it is not as brittle as soft pine, it is more flexible than hard oak. We accentuated the swirling grain pattern with a stunning satin semi-gloss finish to help it shine.
